Rinpoche's main motivation
of having these projects are to facilitate the collection of funds and
supplies in order to propagate the teachings of Dudjom New Treasure.
It is always the aspiration of Rinpoche to flourish the teachings of
Dudjom New Treasure, to provide a very conducive conditions for
serious practitioners (monks and nuns, yogis and yoginis) to practice,
etc. These all will be based on your efforts and endurance here to
support.
Here are the projects
Rinpoche is involved in :
"Transcendent generosity is found in contentment;
its
essence is simply letting go"
-Rigdzin
Jigme Lingpa
As
disciples of Dungse Garab Dorje Rinpoche, we wish to help up Rinpoche
with his heavy responsibilities. However, these goals cannot be met
solely through individual effort. It is through organized group
effort, along with Rinpoche's guidance, that these objectives will be
achieved. The merit accumulated by
yourself will never disappear as the Sutra says "Just like putting
a drop of water into an ocean; as long as the ocean exists, the drop
exists. It will never disappear until the ocean runs dry. Merit
totally dedicated to enlightenment will never disappear until
enlightenment is reached." As such, Rinpoche sincerely wishes
that these projects will be of genuine benefit to the followers of the
Dudjom New Treasure Lineage worldwide.
With
blessings of the Buddha, we seek your generous and kind support in
contributing towards these meritorious activities which will
definitely benefit all the Lamas, nuns, holy dharma and yourself.
Monetary donations of any size are greatly appreciated. The supports
can be in monthly pledges or yearly commitments on any level. To
anyone who would like to offer financial support for the construction,
we rejoice and offer our thanks. Please support these projects.
All names of sponsors will be recorded and special prayers will be
performed for your well-beings. Once again, thanking you in advance
for your generous and kind contribution. May you be well happy and
free from suffering.

Hostels for Monks

After Rangjung Wodsel
Choeling Monastery was founded by Dungse Garab Rinpoche, many local
citizen has joined the monastic life. They dedicated their whole life
to practice under the guidance of Rinpoche, and eventually the
monastery grew even larger. The number of lamas in the monastery has
increased tremendously over the past few years. Therefore, a hostel
which could accommodate the lamas is greatly in need. The Lamas'
hostel as planned is a two-storey building. In total, there are 32
rooms and each entrance comprises two rooms.
Many
people from other countries has been generously donating money to
provide support for the lamas at monastery. However, it would be very
helpful if everybody could help out with this hostel project so that
it doesn't rest entirely on Rinpoche's shoulders.
If you would like, you
can contribute to this great work dedicated to enriching spiritual
life and fostering peace, harmony and goodwill between people of all
faiths and nations. Every donation is gratefully received and will be
efficiently used to bring this important project to fruition.
Dana
for Monks and Nuns
The purpose of the dana
sponsorship program is to provide for a monk's basic necessities
during his life at the monastery. The sponsorship monies pay for the
costs of food, housing, clothing, study materials, health care and
other basic necessities for the monks in the monastery.

Objective of the project.
The main objective of the fund is to support the preservation of
the Dudjom Tersar, by offering requisities and providing financial
assistance for expenses in Rangjung Wodsel Choeling Monastery.
Special commitment is to preserve and transmit the important works of
Dudjom Tersar.
Rationale of the project.
The teachings of the Buddha have degenerated so much nowadays and
it is because of the rarity of preserving the teachings of the Lord
Buddha. Therefore, it is vitally important to preserve and uphold all
the teachings of the Buddha dharma in its totality.
Significance of the
project. This foundation is dedicated to
the publication of fine dharma books for the benefit of all sentient
beings. To implement an effective information for members and
devotees through newsletter, publications and other forms of
communications. Publish news and events related to Dudjom Tersar.
Policy of the project.
To establish a foundation that is conducive to the propagation of
Buddha’s teaching with an emphasis on the Dudjom Tersar. Major
directive is to bring the many activities of Dudjom Tersar under the
umbrella of Dudjom New Treasure Foundation. All of the time and
energy that goes into recording, transcribing, editing, laying out,
addressing and mailing is entirely voluntary.

Sakyamuni Buddha, Lord of the Triple Gem said, “If one wishes to
acquire good karmic rewards to enjoy long and healthy life or to take
rebirth in the pureland, one should accumulate merits.” In this Kali
age, people are frantically busy with their own family affairs. They
have no time to accumulate merits. Thus, if we wish to accumulate
merits, we may support those who devote full time in practicing the
dharma and accumulate merits.
Due to the increasing number
of monks and nuns, the classrooms as well as the educational materials
need to be facilitated. For this purpose, an education fund has been
established under the personal guidance of Rinpoche. The Educational
Fund priority will be to improve the general standard of education and
upgrade all levels of educational facilities in monastery. Besides
this, Rinpoche had long held the intention to provide the full range
of monastic, liturgical, philosophical and meditation training that is
available to monks and nuns. With the full range of training available
to them, they will be able to preserve and propagate the Buddha’s
teachings.

Medical
Dispensary
Central to the
purpose of Dudjom New Treasure Foundation, it is a sincere wish to
alleviate some of the difficult living conditions facing by the monks
and nuns community. We are currently raising funds that Rinpoche has
suggested are most in need of help. It requires donations to provide
medical supplies and other services at the monastery to continue the
ongoing efforts to help the monks and nuns.

The
Stupa Project

The construction of the Eight
Great Stupas that commemorate the most important events in the life of
the Buddha is in progress. A stupa is a sealed shrine containing
precious relics constructed in a geometric configuration that
symbolizes all aspects of the Enlightened State : the Enlightened
Body, Speech and Mind of the Buddha; the harmonious mandala of the
five elements and the stages on the path to liberation.
The
stupa will stand eleven feet high and be completely encased in
handwork silver. The material cost is RM8000 per stupa. Offerings of
any stupas are greatly appreciated. You may also donate gold or
silver objects - coins, silverware and jewels - which can be reworked
for the stupas.
If you would like to
make a contribution, kindly please contact Venerable Khenpo Lhongyang.

The History of
the 8 Great Stupas
The Buddha Sakyamuni had
ordered his discisple to place his ashes in a monument, or stupa.
Instead of doing this for later generations to worship him, he did it
to encourage and inspire others to free themselves from suffering.
Thus, the stupa not became only architecturally important, but also
spiritually important.
When Buddha passed into
Nirvana, the question arose of who is remains would belong to and
therefore, who would be the builder of such a great monument. As no
one could decide the answer, his remains were divided among right
kingdoms. With eight different stupas being built, it is easy to
understand that none of the designs would be the same. Therefore,
these eight designs are symbolic of the eight major events in the
Buddha's life.
A
stupa is an architectural
symbol or the embodiment of the Buddha's enlightenment mind. It is a
radiating presence that transmits blessings to individuals, the
surrounding area and the world. In the presence of a stupa, you can
make prayers for your own spiritual aspirations, such as happiness,
health, prosperity, for the well-being of others, especially those who
are sick, troubled or deceased; for peace on earth; and of course for
the ultimate goal of enlightenment. Just to see a stupa, to walk
around it or feel the wind blowing by is a great blessing.
